Job Details

Roles and Responsibilities

  • To direct, supervise and coordinate functions and activities of one or more departments.
  • To supervise in administration and co-ordinations of medical services.
  • To consult with and advises departmental needs on problems related to operations of the hospitals.
  • To co-ordinate with consultants on issues whenever required.
  • To direct any changes in the functioning of any/all departments.
  • To co-ordinate for accreditation and quality system implementation in the organization.
  • To resolve problems with department HODs concerning to staff and utilization of hospital facilities.
  • To meet with staff members to interpret changes in operational procedures.
  • To assist the Zonal Head- Medical services in day to day activities.
  • To communicate information or decisions to the medical staff.
  • To schedule OPD slots and any other medical and Para medical services in association with FD/ Zonal Head Medical services.
  • To do performance reviews of medical staff in consultation with the Zonal Head Medical services/ FD.
  • To sign all the leave applications pass through him/her for approval
  • To co-ordinate with Head - Non-medical services for formal system of allocation of the hospital beds and ensures smooth working of the hospital.
  • To coordinate for committee meetings.
  • To ensure proper inter departmental co-ordination between all the departments of the hospitals.
  • To organize CME programmes/training programs for doctors.
  • To handle customer grievances.
  • Check medical records to ensure that they are complete and all requirements are followed (clarity in documents, relevance and authenticity of documentation, date, time, signature etc.)
  • Crosscheck the authenticity of the record and ensure the discrepancy is corrected.
  • Examine the way consultants write their notes
  • Check the MIS Report on the number of cases for operations, number of patients etc.
  • To co-ordinate in implementing Sops in the organization for achieving and maintaining accreditation.
  • To co-ordinate for quality system implementation in the organization by achieving compliance in one or more standards of JCI/NABH.

candidate who possesses a MBBS /BDS with 3 years of clinical work experience or a candidate with a MBBS and a fresh MHA/MBA/MPhil or DHA can apply
