Inviting applications for the role of Vice President, Product Engineering Services.

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic individual to join our organization as VP Product Engineering Services. In this role, you will help Genpact accelerate its growth in Technology Services focused on delivering software product development & engineering services to its target clients across HiTech and other verticals. You will play a key role in shaping our Product Engineering COE (Center of Excellence) from design to implementation, and management.

You will be responsible for leading, managing, and mentoring product engineering delivery teams across a portfolio of high visibility clients to ensure successful delivery of high-quality software product engineering services as you work closely with clients and our teams to strategize and provide innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong hands-on background in software product engineering, excellent communication and leadership skills, executive presence to face off with the C-Suite, and a passion for building high-performance teams to deliver high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Establish and Operate the Software Product Engineering COE:

· Collaborate with stakeholders to define and establish the COE's scope, including its goals, objectives, and roadmap ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client requirements.

· Design and implement the necessary processes, methodologies, and frameworks to ensure efficient and effective delivery of software product engineering services.

· Solution and lead product engineering using latest and emerging technology stacks, Cloud Native architecture, DevSecOps, and Agile Delivery.

· Be the face of the company to represent our Product Engineering Services leadership in front of external executive stakeholders including partners, prospective clients, existing clients, vendors etc.

· Work closely with business units/verticals to evangelize scalable solutions & strengthen the value proposition.

· Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion, working closely with the pre-sales and account teams to develop strategies and proposals.

2. Drive Client Engagement Delivery Strategy & Approach:

· Collaborate with clients to understand their software product engineering needs, challenges, and goals. Develop and maintain strong relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.

· Provide expert guidance and recommendations to clients and our engineering teams, on best practices, innovations, and emerging trends in software product engineering.

· Work closely with various internal stakeholders including senior leadership, Account Delivery Leaders, Client Partners, and Operations Teams, to foster a client-centric culture and cohesive teaming environment.

· Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software product engineering projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budgetary constraints.

· Drive the execution of product development plans, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA, to ensure seamless integration and alignment.

· Monitor and evaluate product performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

· Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders and team members to shape account specific delivery solutions and team organization.

3. Build, Mentor, and Lead High-Performing Product Engineering Delivery Teams:

· Build and lead high-performing delivery teams, including software engineers, architects, SDET testers, and other relevant roles.

· Recruit, mentor, and develop top talent, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

· Set clear goals and objectives for the team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

· Establish, communicate, monitor, and measure KPIs and metrics that help measure quality of overall engineering services delivered, and engineering team productivity

· Monitor and evaluate team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures as necessary.

4. Drive Continuous Improvement:

· Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software services product engineering.

· Drive a culture of continuous improvement, fostering innovation and operational excellence.

· Implement and optimize processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Qualifications we seek in you!

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (X years) in software product engineering, with a focus on designing and delivering high-quality software solutions.
  • Well versed in Continuous Integration\Continuous Delivery practices.
  • Strong business acumen and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse multi-national teams.
  • Ability to lead in a complex, matrix environment with geographically distributed resources.
  • Ability to work with others in a constructive and collaborative manner & influence resources outside of the immediate span of control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage, influence, and collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent skills in analysis, critical thinking and planning, oral and written communication, consensus building, facilitation, negotiation and the ability to readily learn new business domains.
  • In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and technologies.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices, emerging trends, and innovations in software product engineering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex multi-stakeholder software product engineering projects on time and within budget.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed organization and collaborate with practice, sales, delivery and various organizational lines of business and functions to drive success for her / his team to achieve business goals
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
