Structural Design Engineer

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Civil Structural engineer who can act as a senior figure within the design team. You will be under the Structural design team; designing the Steel structures related to Building Service in accordance with applicable standards and contract requirements, using relevant Design software like Staad.Pro/Etabs/SAP 2000 using AISC/EN codes and detailing using AutoCAD/ Tekla structure / Revit/ PDMS

Responsibilities:

• Design and steel detailing of Columns & Beams covering Sub Structure, Roof truss and Crane Girder, vertical/Plan/Knee bracings, floor joists, roof purlins, plates/bend plates, stairs, handrails, cage ladders, monorails, chequered plate platforms, chain link fence etc.,
• Design review and verification of Pipe support, HVAC Supports, Duct, Racks & Skids modules
• Verification of interferences (Clash check)
• Review and comment on geotechnical studies and survey reports.
• Able to create civil design basis during FEED stage as well as during detail engineering stage
• Create/Design/ Review calculations and drawings within the Civil design engineering team as follows:

- Overall project / site Layouts and plot plans

- Civil Guide (C.G) drawings /Structural elevation and plans and sectional drawings

- General arrangement/Assembly drawings/Part drawings

- Review of Detailed structural fabrication drawings showing details for fabrication

- Base plate & Anchor bolt design and detailing

- Material take off

• Ability to manage Civil, Structural and architectural functions
• Inter disciplinary interaction
• To lead a team of designers and junior engineers
• Extensive knowledge in Indian/Qatar regulation

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering B.tech/M.tech with 3+ years experience in Building services industry as a Design engineer
• Extensive knowledge in engineering codes like AISC / EN / UBC standards & softwares like Staad.Pro, Autocad etc., for steel structures
• Partake in processes and talks with clients in regards to the component installations/ filed issues
• Experience in BIM (Building information modeling) methodology /Modular building design/PEMBs/ Green building design concepts would be a plus
• Experience in working for an international clients/ projects a plus
