The QC Lab Chemist is responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses in our laboratory for quality control to support the manufacturing process. This role ensures that our products meet all necessary quality standards before they reach the consumer.

Job Description

• Conduct Routine Analyses: Perform regular chemical and physical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods according to established protocols.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements. Document results and maintain detailed records for quality assurance purposes.
• Problem-Solving: Investigate any non-conformities in product samples. Work closely with production teams to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate and maintain lab equipment, ensuring all instruments are functioning correctly for accurate testing and analysis.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing methods and quality protocols.

Job Requirements

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (Bsc/Msc)
• Experience: - Min 3 years of experience in a QC laboratory setting, preferably in an FMCG environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and knowledge of chemical testing techniques.
• Attention to Detail: Excellent observational skills and attention to detail to identify quality issues.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory requirements in the FMCG sector.
