As the lead TPM in India, you will be running IN wide technology mechanisms. You will also be responsible for building new system capabilities grounds up for strategic business initiatives. In this role, you will have front row seat to how we are disrupting e-commerce and supply chain by offering creative solutions to yet unsolved problems. We operate like a start-up within the Amazon ecosystem and have proven track record of delivering inventions that work globally. You will be challenged to look at the world through the eyes of our seller customers and think outside the box to build new tech solutions to make our Sellers successful. You will often find yourself building products and services that are new to Amazon and will have an opportunity to pioneer not just the technology components but the idea itself across other Amazon teams and markets
As a Principal Technical Program Manager:
• You will have end to end ownership of cross-functional projects, including roadmap planning, resource planning and project execution of the program/products
• Along with business initiatives, you will also lead the definition and execution of strategic projects aimed at reducing the total cost and time to market for launch.
• You will work closely with business and operations leadership, including executive leadership at Amazon, to define the product and provide updates on the program.
• You will be hands-on in driving the delivery of critical business initiatives, managing all aspects of the project such as project planning, requirements definition, risk management, communication, and implementation planning.
• You will partner with org leaders to create a technology and product vision for next 3+ years
• You will be responsible for driving cross-org IN-wide technology mechanisms

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
  • 7+ years of technical program management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

· 8+ years of experience in product or program management, product development, or engineering

· Experience with roadmap planning and delivery

· Bachelor's Degree in technical field (CS, CompEng, Maths, Electrical Eng etc.)

· Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

· Ability to persuade and influence others using verbal and written communication techniques

· Strong quantitative data analysis and critical thinking skills

· Demonstrated ability to work independently to drive projects to completion

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Engineering degree or Masters of Business Administration
· Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager / owner mentality
· Good at basic statistics & A/B testing methodologies. Even better if you've worked with Data Science teams to develop models
