Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

The selected candidate will be part of Analytics Acceleration Team (AAT) in Growth organization. This candidate is expected to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, understand and prioritize the business challenges, translate into requirements understandable by analysts and work together to provide actionable insights. Additional responsibilities include talent acquisition & team development

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Proactively propose, initiate, execute and own strategic projects /solutions that unlock value in multiple functions of the business
  • Maintain effective communication with business counterparts to understand project requirements
  • Regularly track & document team progress on assigned tasks
  • Follow audit processes, documentation, and accuracy guidelines
  • Responsible and committed to the last mile execution of projects
  • Expertise in statistical tools and techniques like Segmentation, decision tree, optimization
  • Closely work with Senior / Local Leadership to identify areas of business that need support, use prioritization list to map self / analysts to the tasks
  • Should utilize effective storytelling skills to build meaningful insights
  • Leads discussions with stakeholders with minimal support from manager
  • Independently works on structuring Technical aspects like codes & auditing log & outputs
  • Spends majority of time on strategic / open-ended problems and works on regular projects/ ad-hoc requests when needed
  • Design and facilitate upskilling for the team, Learn New Skills that help career growth and enable better solutions for Synchrony
  • Talent Acquisition: Identify and Hire potential Sr. Analysts who can fit into open positions

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Analytics domain with hands on Experience in SAS/ SQL
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in project management and team mentoring
  • Hands on experience in segmentation/clustering techniques and decision trees
  • Strong articulation, storytelling skills
  • Proven ability to deliver Analytical solutions for Business problems

Desired Characteristics:

  • Exposure to tools like Python (Standard Libraries) / R / Tableau
  • Strong knowledge & hands-on experience with advanced Analytical techniques
  • 2+ years of People management experience
