Primary Responsibilities:

1. Sample Preparation:

• To cut the engineering parts in required sections as per the Drawing or instructions, on Precision Cutting or Large Auto cutting or manually by Hacksaw (if needed).
• To perform mounting of the samples by Hot & Cold Methods.
• To polish the samples on auto polishing machine with high polishing quality without any scratches on the samples.

1. To check the quality of polishing under microscope, perform micro & macro etching (If needed).
2. To help in regular lab activities like ‘5S+1’ activities, samples retentions & disposals, courier packaging, courier movement from Lab to Reception & vice versa, etc.
3. 5S and Cleaning of all the associated machines or equipment’s after every use.
4. To make entry of incoming samples in MWR registers & prepare the Specimen ID’s or Tagging for the individual part numbers.
5. To take Gross surface Hardness Testing of components on various hardness testers like Vickers, Rockwell & Brinell.

Educational Qualification :

Diploma ( 10 +2+ 3 ) in Metallurgy Fresher or 1+ years of experience in the materials lab

Or B Sc Chemistry / Physics with 2 to 3 years of experience in the materials lab

Basic Requirement:

1. Knowledge of handling the basic lab equipment's used for sample preparation
2. Hard working
3. Good written and oral communication
4. Willing to learn new things
