Job Description

  • The Integration Architect will own the creation of Enterprise Application Integration roadmap and its implementation to deliver business value in alignment with the business strategy. He or she will build and manage Integrations as Products which enable an ecosystem of business opportunities
  • He or she will own the entire lifecycle of the API/integration as a product and be responsible for working with internal and external stakeholders to identify and prioritize high value Integrations based on business benefits, for designing and building secure and robust integrations that meet the organization’s technology standards and for adoption and life cycle support for the integrations including continuous improvements to stay ahead of market trends

Role Responsibilities

  • Identifies and prioritises APIs/Reusable components/Accelerators based on strategic opportunities for business development and revenue growth
  • Understands the data, process and application architecture of the business to identify interface points between applications
  • Continuously engage with stakeholders across business functions and outside of the organization to identify emerging API & Integration needs
  • Recommends technology standards, frameworks, principles to be used across all integrations in the enterprise. Drives design for a secure, efficient, and adaptable future state model
  • Develop detailed functional specifications for Integrations
  • Develop technical designs and solutions for complex integration problems and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for various integration and data solutions
  • Conducts impact of technology or solution changes on integrations; recommends options to achieve desired outcomes
  • Maintains an API Catalog and provides oversight for the Enterprise Service Bus / iPaaS Platform
  • Owns the support and maintenance of APIs and interfaces across the enterprise level integration platforms. Ensures appropriate root cause analysis and timely resolution of issues
  • Stays up-to-date with technology trends. Recommends opportunities to adopt new technologies for EAI so as to enable better cross functional/organizational process integration and improve performance, reliability, scalability and security
  • Provide industry thought leadership through articles, blogs, webinars etc.; develops intellectual property
  • Keep Senior Management informed on emerging trends in API economy and the organization’s capabilities in this space

Qualifications

  • Must have a strong technical background and an simultaneously be able to think like a Product manager
  • Proven success in delivering an API ecosystem and implementing integration platforms
  • At least 4-5 years of experience as Integration architect with hands on work in design, development and testing of integration solutions across On-Prem, Cloud and Hybrid platforms that include but not limited to platforms as SAP, Salesforce, Mendix, SharePoint, Google Cloud Platform services, AWS
  • Hands on experience working on MQ, ESB and iPaaS such as Magic, Camel, Tibco, Kafka, Mulesoft, Informatica, Dell Boomi
  • Hands on experience with API testing, publishing and management solutions such as Apigee, AWS gateway, Swagger, Postman
  • At least 3 years of experience architecting and developing cloud applications
  • 10 years of Software development experience spread across multiple tech stacks including .NET, Java, Python, Ruby, Javascript etc
  • High level of competency with common Integration mechanisms and protocols such as REST API, Web Services, Database connectors, SFTP connectors, SAP PI integrations, SOAP, XML, JSON, idocs etc
  • Hands-on-expertise in building highly scalable applications including the use of Microservices
  • Experience in creating technology standards and reference architecture frameworks which address integrations of varied complexity in an enterprise
  • Minimum of one Enterprise Architecture certification
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science
  • Pharma experience a plus.
