A career within the Forensic practice will provide a wide & valuable experience in an exciting and dynamic working & learning environment. The role will position you to support various aspects of Corporate Intelligence & Investigations engagement which include the following activities:

• Interpreting, analyzing and network analysis in relation to financial crime.

• Performing and conducting background checks and tracing assets, and wide variety of Forensic related work.

• Preparing quality deliverables within agreed timeliness.

• Assisting the senior members in project management and associated responsibilities. As an Assistant Manager, you will have the opportunity to be involved in diverse nature of engagements where you will:

• Support Deloitte member firms’ (Canadian, UK, Australian, Middle East and Europeans) Corporate Intelligence & Investigations practice.

• Work towards tight deadlines, adding value to complex and high profile projects.

• Demonstrate strong business diagnostic skills and the ability to apply a logical and analytical approach to problem-solving.

Independently manage various tasks related to any Corporate Intelligence; Forensic Investigations; Litigation & dispute support and other investigation related work.

• Draft memos and research reports.

• Create newsletters/periodic updates, prepare presentations, etc.

• Analyze and summarize information from financial statements, industry reports, media articles, case law journals, etc.

• Assist with preparation of client proposals and the senior members of the team in administrative tasks in relation to project management.

• Assist with the creation and execution of marketing strategy.

• Ability to work within tight deadlines and tough client conditions, which may require working for extended hours occasionally.

Eligibility

Graduate/Post Graduate from an accredited college/university in Accounting, Business, Law or similar discipline.

CPA, CFE, ACAMS or any relevant certification will be an added advantage.

Skills Required

In order to be considered for this role, your competencies will cover the broad scope of Corporate Intelligence & Investigations, leveraging your professional background and skills such as:

• Excellent track record and strong academic achievements.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with extensive client-facing experience

• Proven analytical and systematic problem-solving skills.

• Basic to advanced knowledge of MS Office.

• Interest in working in a challenging and dynamic environment.

• Ability to work with staff at all levels of the organization.

• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

• Ability to train, provide guidance and assist the team members.

• Proactive and an inquisitive mind, with a passion to provide world-class client service.

• In-depth understanding of the Forensic investigation process and various Business Intelligence/Research tools such as Factiva, World-Check One, Bloomberg, Arachnys, Talkwalker, Quid, DB Hoovers, etc, would be an asset.
