- Clinical notes documentation is done in the electronic medical records.
- Responsible for initializing and updating the admission record, progress notes, operation notes, discharge summary, death summaries
- Check case sheets and ensure no pending investigation or reports or procedures
- Follow up on laboratory and radiology investigation reports and inform the consultants about the reports and do a follow-up action informed by the consultant based on the reports.
- Attend to patients complaints whenever a patient has a clinical problem.
- Be available in ward always for patient monitoring
- Continuous monitoring of seriously ill patients
- Keeps the superiors informed about patient condition and take prior approval of the treating consultant before prescribing any additional medication
- Scheduling the patient for different investigation procedures both diagnostic and therapeutic
- Assist superiors in carrying out diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Follow up the instruction of superiors
- Give necessary health education and discharge advice
- Follows Code Blue protocol & Medico Legal Cases protocol
- Maintain confidentiality of the patients communication and medical records.
- Must facilitate the safe, timely and comfortable referral of patient within the same department or outside of the department.
- The DMO who examines the patient will generate a care plan based on the consultants assessment. This plan will be dated, timed, named and signed by the consultant.
- DMO is responsible for the patients health in the hospital that directly manages the floor with support of other departments to facilitate Patient Care
