Main Job Purpose:

A cross-dock executive role is to manage break-bulk and last mile delivery through a series of cross docking locations across the geography. He / She will design the cross-dock location, manage the 3PL partners operating these sites and support in the last mile deliveries and reverse logistics to main depot with respect to a cost and serviceability guardrails.

Key Accountabilities:

• 3PL appointment and closing warehouse/yard locations
• Cross-dock infra and manpower planning to accommodate the growth and skew
• Cross-dock vehicle mix planning to accommodate the growth and skew
• Managing dynamic routing, database updation and invoicing through multiple tech systems
• Co-ordination with depots for vehicle departures and shortage/excess
• Managing cross-dock operations and salvaging upstream delays
• Managing Damage/shortage/excess from trade with audit routines and controlling the returns from trade
• Resolving outlet level issues through effective coordination with Fulfilment, CD, tech teams and 3PL operation team
• Resolving RS level issues through effective coordination with Fulfilment, CD, tech teams and 3PL operation team
• Time-motion study/ analytics to address any gap in dynamic routing
• Reporting and analytics for tracking cost and serviceability levers

Professional Skills:

ESSENTIAL

• Any graduation degree

PREFERRED

• Data analytics certification
• SCM APICS etc certification
• MBA

Experience Required:

ESSENTIAL

• 3yr-5yr experience in managing 3PL partners
• Ecom LM logistics or FMCG sales background (Should have managed mid/large size distributors)

PREFERRED

• Data analytics work experience
• Network scaleup experience

Travel:

• Extensive local travel to market, RS points and depots
• 10% domestic travel for branch meetings
