Roles and Responsibilities

1. Compliance of nursing manuals/protocols at all circumstances while on duty.
2. Following medical prescriptions/orders and taking care of patients need.
3. Taking care of minimum house- keeping standards including related departmental interface.
4. Complete hand over/takeover of assigned patients including physically checking patients and their units.
5. Checks special assignments like checking of crash cart, checking inventory, or any other assignment given by in-charge.
6. Plans, organizes, and delivers nursing care in a manner that upholds organizational values, healing, promotion of health and prevention of complications
7. Performs nursing procedures as per set protocols in the department
8. Imparts relevant health education to patients and families and documents of the same.
9. Takes care of all critical patients, maintains seriousness and accompanies every expired patient to the mortuary.
10. Attends all in-service education programs and takes mandatory certification programs.
11. Takes responsibility and accountability in professional advancement.
12. Maintenance of nursing records including nurses notes, charts, consents, and initial assessment data for all assigned patients as per protocols.
13. Reception and orientation of newly admitted patients assigned to him/her.
14. Collects and sends all relevant documents duly completed to ensure speedy transfers or discharge process. Will accompany all critical & helpless patients.

• GNM/BSc Nursing with experience working as Registered Nurse.
