This role requires a blend of solutions sales acumen and domain expertise in education solutions.
As a key member of Lenovo’s Solutions & Services Group (SSG), the Solutions Sales Manager will be tasked with driving the Lenovo Solutions business in Central Asia Pacific (CAP), reporting to the Asia Pacific Solutions Sales Director. This is a diverse Geography comprising of nine Markets: Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. Existing solution verticals include Manufacturing, Education, Smart Buildings, and Smart Cities.
In addition to directly engaging with customers, they will work closely with Lenovo sales teams, Business Development Managers, Solution Architects, services teams, and business partners on customer engagements. They will educate and promote Lenovo Solutions to Lenovo GTM teams, training them on product value propositions, selling strategies, applications and pricing strategies.
As the Education Expert, the Solutions Sales Manager will leverage their industry knowledge and customer insights to provide requirements and guidance to the Lenovo portfolio, sales teams, service teams , and engineering teams to enhance Lenovo’s offerings.
Standard sales management skills of customer acquisition, pipeline development and management, pipeline conversion, and forecasting. In addition, pursuit engagement management will be necessary in this role with responsibility for the execution of the end-to-end sales process, ensuring the right resources are engaged at the right time, and managing the necessary activities for deal execution and delivery.
The ideal candidate will have prior technical and commercial knowledge of several education technologies such as virtual classrooms, education magement systems, smart classrooms, and IoT solutions. The candidate should possess persuasive presentation, excellent communications skills, and exceptional relationship management skills as they will be working directly with customers and key strategic partners. They should have.
- 10+ years sales experience
- 7+ years experience with IT Solutions for education. Other verticals would be a plus
- 5+ years prior experience selling complex solutions
- Network of education customers and contacts in the Central Asia Pacific region
- A passion for engaging, listening to, and learning from others
- English Language fluency
- Proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese, Thai, and/or Bahasa would be a plus
